Wanted Australian criminal caught in Vietnam 10th June 2008

Australian police of a Vietnamese Australian man who was charged with murdering in Australia.

Vietnamese police arrested Lee Hoang Thanh, born in 1961, on May 29 in the southern province of Ca Mau while he was present at the anniversary of his father’s death.

According to inspectors, Lee Hoang Thanh, who was involved in a crime ring in Australia, killed a man in the state of Victoria in January 2006. He escaped to Viet Nam in the same month. Australian police issued a wanted notice on him in Feb. 2006.

During the time the man was in Viet Nam, his name was Le Hung Em. And Vietnamese police had identified Le Hung Em as Lee Hoang Thanh before arresting him.
